             Clinical History: A 45 year old woman with a history of severe colicky pain on the left side

              of the abdomen, diarrhea, nausea and  vomiting.   The patient had a medical history of asthma.

              Barium study of the small intestine - irregular thickening of the folds.

              Ultrasound and CT-scan of the abdomen showed thickening of several loops of the small bowel. 

              Laboratory investigation - Raised white blood cells with increased number of eosinophils.

             Stool examination ruled out any parasitic infection.

             Endoscopic findings -  Erythematous, friable areas.

             Multiple endoscopic biopsies from the abnormal areas in the small intestine.
