Clinical History: A 58 year female presented with transient ischaemic attack. Echocardiography ,
CT scan, and MRI all identified a mass attached to the mitral valve and the chordae tendineae.
At operation, a 1 cm papillary mass was found within the left atrium. It was attached to the
the free edge of the anterior leaflet of the mitral valve and to adjacent choradae tendineae.
